Questions
What's on the CDL general knowledge test?
Every CDL applicant takes it. It covers the manual's sections on driving safely and transporting cargo: inspection, space management, speed, night and winter driving, emergencies, mountain driving and cargo securement. You may also need the air brakes, combination vehicles, or endorsement tests.
Where do these questions come from?
Each answer comes from the Mississippi Commercial Driver's License Manual published by the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (March 2025 edition). Each explanation names the section to reread. Read the manual itself too: the official test can ask about anything in it.
Is this the official test?
No. Pursivon is not affiliated with the Mississippi Department of Public Safety. This is free practice to help you study.
